Now On Forgiveness In A Relationship

Many will agree that it is easier to talk about forgiveness than to actually forgive. After reading this you will have a better understanding on the importance of forgiveness. Not only that, in fact this article will actually help you to forgive.

The people closest to you are the ones who have the power to hurt you the most whether intentionally or unintentionally but nevertheless one fact remains- you still have to forgive. It is to your own advantage to forgive because it rids you of bitterness that comes from not forgiving.

When you forgive you are actually letting go of resentment and desire to see harm come in your partner’s way because of something they did or didn't do. Do not give in to thoughts of revenge because they will cause you to do something you will regret. Replace them with God’s word (Philippians 4:8)
Forgiveness In A Relationship
Forgiveness blocks the power of the devil from entering into your relationship. The devil hates unity because where there is unity there is power, so he thrives on unforgiveness. When you do not forgive you open doors for demons of anger and bitterness to enter into your life.

Saying sorry when you are right means that you are more mature. Remember its better to win a relationship and lose an argument than vice versa. When you forgive you do so because it is the right thing to do even if it means going against your emotions.

Forgiveness is being like God in character. Christ forgave those who wronged him even though he had not wronged them. When you forgive, you are following the example of Christ. Its always good to follow the example of the best. To err is human but to forgive is divine.
The paralyzed man in the Bible was healed as a result of forgiveness. You can also bring healing into your marriage when you decide to forgive. (Luke 5:23). Marriages and relationships are revived when forgiveness becomes the norm.

How you feel when you see the one who wronged you shows you whether you have forgiven or not. Its important to ask the Holy Spirit to help you forgive. You can also receive help from an anointed man of God. There are some situations that require you to go for a counseling session. May God make your marriage or relationship stronger in Jesus name.
