About Dabuka International Christian Conference
Dabuka is a Somali word that means exploding fire. In Zulu it means electrifying fire and in summary it simply means fire that transforms in a mighty way. Fire is consuming and can be helpful as long as it is under the control of a knowledgeable and mature individual. When Jesus came on earth his desire was to set fire on earth as he said in Luke 12:49. Dabuka Conference is about this fire that Christ came to kindle on earth in that when this fire is made manifest in people’s lives the result is the loosening of the devil’s grip. Our God is a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29) and has provided a way in which all his children can be liberated through this conference. This year’s theme is ‘Crossing over to the other side’ (Mark 4:35).
