What Happens When A Prophet Loses His Honour Through Familiarity? (Mark 6:4)

Honour is: value, worth, Godly reverence, deep and public respect. You cannot lose something that you never had so in this presentation we’re looking at someone who had this honour but lost it because his followers became familiar with him.

Here is part of what happens when honour is lost:

1. The prophet becomes a prophet to others and not to you. You cease from benefiting from his prophetic ministry. Some of our pastor seem less anointed in our churches than in places they are invited because we have become familiar with them.

2. The gift of God is neutralized by familiarity. Mark 6:1-5. No matter how great a gift from God is, it is stopped from function by familiarity.

3. There is no release of the anointing and the yoke (burdens, problems, diseases…) cannot be removed. You cannot benefit from the anointing you despise.

4. The blessing and anointing shifts to another place. The gifts of God function best in places where they are celebrated and not tolerated.
5. We cannot tap into the supernatural when we do not honour the covering above us. When people failed to honour Jesus they lost an opportunity to be healed. By the way Jesus was not the one who needed healing so He remained healthy whist they remained sick.

6. You attract a closed heaven where all doors closed. If you cannot honour the prophets of God, it then becomes difficult to access the God of the prophet. How can one honour God whom he has not seen and fail to honour the servants of God who can be seen.

My advice is, pray that God may give you grace to remain submitted and repent before your leader. I sense there’s a spirit that is turning sons against their fathers. Lets fight and defeat it in Jesus name.
