Most of us are aware of the fact that we are living in the era of grace because of the price our Lord Jesus paid on the cross. One fact still remains that our God and His principles have not changed.
Grace has been exaggerated so much that people continue to live a lifestyle of sin and disobey every principle of God and the preachers tell them they will make it in heaven by ‘grace’. Understand this:
1. Grace does not make you immune to curses, death and destruction when you disobey God. You can still die in the presence of grace.
2. Grace does not make God fulfil His promises when you have not met the condition of the promise. It is in the meeting of the promise that triggers its fulfillment.
3. There are times when God will just do something out of His sovereignty but usually you have to do your part before God does His part.
4. Many lie that the Holy Spirit will do everything for you and misquote Zechariah 4:6 but the truth is the Holy Spirit is our HELPER which means he helps those who are doing something. You cannot expect to pass when you do not study even if you write your exam with an anointed pen.
5. You cannot expect to remain anointed when you do not pray and have continual fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Grace will not replace prayer, in fact prayer activates grace (Hebrews 4:16)
6. Pastor Benny Hinn says “Its not enough to believe in God. You have to live for God because even demons believe but they do not live for God”. Grace can be attracted into your life when you spend time in God’s presence.
