The Power Of Positive Communication In Your Marriage

Communication is the medium by which God has designed people to pass information to each other. Negative communication destroys marriages so make a decision from today to speak positively to your spouse.

This is what I learnt from Pastor Jimmy Evans:

1. Your marriage is as strong as the positive words spoken in it. Your marriage will never rise above the level of your mouth.

2. You can give either life or death to your spouse through your words. You are either making your spouse into a better person or breaking her by your words.

3. No communication eventually leads to no marriage. Silent treatment leads to unresolved conflict which will eventually result in divorce.

4. The only way you can know your spouse in marriage is through communication. Lack of communication is the missing key to unlock the door to your spouse’s heart.

5. It is impossible to have any kind of healthy relationship without communication because genuine communication requires both speaking and understanding (interpreting the message spoken by your spouse).

6. Train your mouth to speak life and not death, compliment and not criticism. You are the best person to encourage your partner and the last thing they expect from you is to despised.

7. Learn to express your love through positive actions and always remember that your actions speak louder than your words.
