In my walk of faith, I have noticed many people receive healing in different glorious ways but realized that only a few of them remain healed. After doing my own research I have come up with at least 10 possible reasons on why some cannot retain their healing.
1. Lack of consistent faith. It takes faith to receive healing and it also takes faith to keep it. Faith is like a hand that receives and keeps healing for the whole body.
2. Not testifying and thanking God. 9 lepers were healed but only 1 was made whole (had all missing parts replaced) because he thanked God (Luke 17). Your testimony preserves your healing.
3. Not feeding one’s faith with God’s word. Maintain the same atmosphere in which you received your healing by feeding on the word (Romans 10:17).

Here Are 10 Possible Reasons On Why Some Lose Their Healing |
5. Expecting that the disease will return. There are some who believe that healing is not permanent. The word tells us that when Jesus sets you free you are free indeed (John 8:36)
6. Focusing on sickness. Sometimes healing can be a process and not instant therefore, some focus on the areas that have not yet been healed and this weakens faith. Healing can be in seed form which will grow and manifest in the whole body.
7. Improper care of the body. If you have been healed of cholera and then you continue to eat dirty food, the disease will return. your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit so take good care of it.
8. Giving room to the devil. If you continue to live in sin, you give room to the devil to afflict you with sickness. Alcoholism and drug abuse opens doors for sickness like cancer to enter.
9. Not maintaining a positive confession. Life and death is in the tongue. What you say can either make or break you (Proverbs 18:21). You are as healthy as your confession.
10. Wrong belief. Some believe sickness keeps them humble and glorifies God. God is never glorified by the devil’s works (1 John 3:8). Sickness is never God’s will (Matthew 8:17).
